Pure Heart Christian Fellowship
Glendale Arizona

|
The Pure Heart Christian Fellowship describes itself on its (very professional) website as a "non-denominational, independent, charismatic church", which I'll leave you to interpret at your leisure. This building and its amazing collection of palms, knotted up and nappy and a real landmark out in Glendale where this many trees in one place means something, has been renovated, cleaned up, re-imagined, in the last three years or so. The palms were even more knotted and nappy before then. I'm guessing they were an attractive nuisance for kids experiencing bursts of God-loving post-sermon energy, the kind of energy that could send you straight up a curvy tree. Now it's all land-sculpted and a lot tamer, with faux rocks. Kicking myself for not being able to remember the name of the previous church. With these trees, and with that geodesic sanctuary, there's sure to be an interesting story here. If you know anything about it, please let me know. |
